CUBA THE LOVE REVOLUTION

CUBA THE LOVE REVOLUTION

Cuba is undergoing a process of change that goes far beyond the resumption of talks with the United States to restore diplomatic relations and to end the last chapter of the Cold War. Whereas questions and predictions about the direction of the country are focused on the possible rapprochement between Havana and Washington, Cuban society has been experiencing an unexpected transformation since the last five decades that has not been registered by independent journalism.

STORIES OF A WOUNDED LAND

STORIES OF A WOUNDED LAND

The project “Stories of a wounded land” is focused in the consequences of the agrobusiness model of food production in the producers countries. Currently, agrobusiness is one of the key aspects of globalization. Each country or region that produced food for the agribusiness model has been constantly and regularly suffering from health issues, systematic violations of the civilian population’s human rights, increases in environmental problems and political instability.

In the eternity of Sorrow. Colombia 2003/2012

The ongoing situation in Colombia is surely one of the most deeply forgotten of our times. The war there not only consists of the everyday reality of kidnapping and drug trafficking, but it is also a conflict that holds the sad record of having the highest figures of displaced persons and refugees in the world. This forgotten population has endured nearly 50 years of civil war. It is a population which has become accustomed to living through long-term conflict, which in itself has concealed this war even more, both within Colombia and in the eyes of the outside world.

BOLIVARIAN

BOLIVARIAN

Latin America has witnessed a milestone with the emergence of the Bolivarian revolutionary Movement and its leader, the Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez Frías. The Latin American Society was crying out for a fairer and egalitarian Latin America, which is not the private property of a few privileged persons. This message became the foundation on which President Chavez’ revolution was based, and represented a catharsis in the minds of the whole continent.

Iraq

The terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers of New York´s World Trade Center on 11 September 2001 signalled a before and after in our recent history. Under the banner of the war on terror and the fight against the axis of evil, the policies of the Bush administration concealed strategic interests which manipulated the legitimate feelings of US society into supporting an illegal war in Iraq.
